Frank Remmers, VP Product Management

Frank began his professional career in Switzerland at Ascom as a development engineer and soon after moved to the marketing and sales division of Ascom’s PBX business unit, where he managed the partners and country subsidiaries assigned to him.

From 2003 to 2005, he served as managing director of the British subsidiary of Ascom in Farnborough. Frank then worked for Tier-1 telecommunications providers such as BT Global Services and served as Country Manager for Switzerland at Telefónica from 2009 to 2013.

He holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Twente in the Netherlands.

He has been with Aarenet since 2014 and is responsible for product definition, the product roadmap, and marketing activities, as well as for providing direct customer support to select clients in Switzerland and Germany.

Felix Jakob, CEO & Vice-Chairman

Felix began his professional career as R&D engineer and project manager. In this role, he was responsible for introducing the first digital PBX in Switzerland.
In his later role as head of project management at Ascom PBX, he was responsible for the introduction of Ascom PBXs in various European countries and for carriers such as Telecom Italy and Telefonica Spain.
Later as CTO of Ascom PBX, he was then responsible for overall product development and collaboration with other Ascom divisions and partners in various European countries, as well as in India and the US.
After the successful sale of Ascom PBX, he decided to co-found and build up the company Aarenet in 2004. Aarenet initially focused exclusively on VoIP high quality carrier systems and quickly gained large international customers such as Colt Telecom.
In his role as CEO of Aarenet, Felix has been the driving force behind the company’s growth and its presence in various European and Asian countries.

Daniel Jaggi, Architecture

Daniel gained his vast experience in IP based technologies as a solution architect for data-products and lead architect for data enabling products with Swisscom Mobile. He joined Aarenet in October 2006 and brings the full breadth of experience to excel the development activities in Aarenet.

Emanuel Eggenberg, VP Operations

Emanuel accumulated profound experiences in project- and product-management and held several positions including appointments as project manager for the first IP based LAN-PBX of Ascom. His excellent know-how in VoIP and ISDN plus his sound understanding of the international markets is an invaluable contribution to the success of Aarenet.

Christian Häberli, VP R&D and Deputy CEO

Christian works in the domain of VoIP since 2005, as embedded SW developer, head of R&D and COO at different companies. Starting with Aarenet in 2016, he took the responsibility for the operations in Switzerland and Italy, including the technical support. In December 2018 he took over the responsibility for R&D and was appointed as deputy CEO. Christian holds a PhD in experimental physics and a Diploma of Advanced Studies ETH in Cyber Security. He is experienced in project management, technology management, software development and security.

Bao Vo, Director - Aarenet APAC

Bao has over 20 years of Telecommunications experience spanning scientific, engineering, operations and business development roles. He holds a Mathematics degree from the University of Waterloo – Canada. His broad international Telecommunications experience provides strong synergy with Aarenet’s business expansion initiative into the Pacific Region.

Michel Balabio, Regional Director Southern Europe

Michel has 20+ years of experience in the Telecommunication market and covered various roles focusing on sales and business development assignments. Results oriented and capable to integrate with all types of organizations, Michel is passionate in building strong business relationships and long term customer collaborations. Specifically in the Carrier and ISP market in Italy, he has enabled consistent revenue growth and has established Aarenet as a leading vendor for carrier grade voice platforms.  

Robert Lange, Country Manager for Poland and CEE

Robert brings over 25 years of experience in the telecommunications and ICT industry, with a strong background in business development, strategic partnerships, and enterprise communications.

Robert is responsible for developing Aarenet’s business across the CEE (Central and Eastern Europe) region, working closely with telecom operators, service providers, and enterprise customers. His focus is on delivering innovative, secure, and scalable communication platforms while building long-term partnerships and supporting customers in their digital transformation journey.
